We're delighted to welcome two new members to the Tremap team! Within the framework of the UK Space Agency SPINtern funded internship programme, two university students will join Tremap for July and August, 2024. We absolutely welcome the fresh perspectives and enthusiasm that Adam Orme and Anita Haddock will bring with them, and look forward to a great summer!
Adam is a Business Entrepreneurship undergraduate at the University of Southampton. He's just returning from a year abroad at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and is ready for his role with Tremap in developing sales channels and client support. He's not a stranger to the SPINtern programme, having completed a previous placement at Spaceport Cornwall. We think there are some exciting things ahead for Adam, this summer and are delighted to welcome him to the team.
Anita comes to Tremap from University of Aberdeen already equipped with a B.A.
Business and an impressive collection of further GIS and green management related qualifications. Her time as a volunteer with both the Woodland Trust and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust equips her well to take on her role in GIS services and GreenSpaces client training. She's an experienced tree planter and ancient/veteran tree surveyor. We think she'll be a wonderful fit and it's great to have her with us!
After a positive student placement experience with University of Exeter last year, an upcoming MBA student placement with Durham University through 2024 and into 2025, Tremap is proving the benefits of engaging with the academic community. It's a great way to encourage fresh talent in the industry and give these students space to grow. And, it's a wonderful way to introduce new ideas and perspectives to our own internal team. We're grateful for the UK Space Agency's vote of confidence and for funding Adam and Anita's placements.
