Supporting Arboriculture Learning with GreenSpaces at Myerscough College

It was a busy week at Tremap recently, supporting a new cohort of students at Myerscough College as they got started with GreenSpaces.

Over the course of the week, students were set up on the GreenSpaces platform before taking part in training sessions designed to introduce them to the system and give them the opportunity to start using it themselves.

Our colleague Anita Haddock, MSc FRGS, led the training, including joining students remotely in the classroom to take them through GreenSpaces and demonstrate how the platform can be used to record, inspect and manage trees and their associated data.

GreenSpaces is used professionally across a number of different countries by cities, organisations, arborists, contractors and other tree care professionals. Giving students the opportunity to work with the platform adds a real world element to their learning, with practical experience they can apply in their current roles or take with them into their future careers.

We are particularly pleased to be working with Myerscough College, with its long history of arboriculture education and strong focus on giving students practical, industry relevant skills.

We hope the new cohort enjoys putting GreenSpaces into practice over the coming months, and we look forward to continuing to support them as they develop their experience with the platform.
